  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef belly
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 to 2 tablespoon honey (or agave or sugar)
  • 2 tablespoon mirin
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

Directions

  1. Combine all sauce ingredients and set aside. Tightly pack the rice in a bowl, set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat. Add onions, and sauté until lightly brown and caramelized.
  3. Turn down the heat to medium and move the onions to the outside of the pan so that there is a well in the center for the rice.
  4. Add in the rice in the center.
  5. Arrange the beef around the rice over the onions.
  6. Add corn, butter and green onion on top of the rice, then sprinkle with ground black pepper.
  7. Drizzle the sauce over everything and let it sizzle for at least 1-2 minutes and then mix so that you can get the char. (Lid on if prefer to ensure the meat is cooked or no longer pink) Enjoy!
