Iced Orange Black Tea

Many of us may have tried Dong Ling Cha (Iced Lemon Black Tea) from the Hong Kong Cafe’s, but have you tried Dong Chang Cha (Iced Orange Black Tea) ? It’s the same ingredients like the lemon iced tea, but instead of using lemon, they use oranges.

If you are unable to find the Hong Kong Black Tea at your local Asian store, you can also use Lipton Black Tea .

Recipe - Iced Orange Black Tea

Ingredients

    π—œπ—»π—΄π—Ώπ—²π—±π—Άπ—²π—»π˜π˜€:
  • 3 tea bags of black tea
  • 2 cups of hot water
  • simple syrup
  • 1 orange, cut in quarters (do not peel the skin, keep the skin on)
  • a cocktail muddler
  • shaker or a bottle to shake
  • cup of ice

Directions

    π—œπ—»π˜€π˜π—Ώπ˜‚π—°π˜π—Άπ—Όπ—»π˜€:
  1. Brew your tea for at least 20-30 minutes and let it cool.
  2. In a bottle or a shaker, add in a couple of wedges of oranges wedges and muddle to release the juice and it’s flavor.
  3. Pour in your tea and simple syrup (you can add as much and less of syrup you want as it can be adjusted to your liking) and top it with ice.
  4. Seal the cup and shake for about a minute.
  5. Strain, pour over a cup of ice and enjoy.
