Miso Butter Shishito Peppers

I got a bag of shishito peppers from Trader Joe’s and couldn’t decide if I wanted to broil the peppers or cook them over the stove. Cooking them over the stove was a good choice. This is such a great dish for an appetizer. Quick and easy, just takes about 10 minutes!

You will need:

After rinsing the peppers, make sure they are drained well. You do NOT want to have oil popping all over the place during the cooking process.

In a pan, turn on medium hi heat and add in the oil. Once the oil is hot, add in the pepper. Make sure to toss it around constantly so each pepper creates a blister. This is what we want.

After the peppers are all blistered, turn off the heat and add in the miso butter mixture. Toss the peppers until they are well coated. Sprinkle some furikake then serve while it is hot!
