Shabu Beef Salad

I was inspired by justonecookbook with this dish. Who knew it was possible to make a shabu salad? She made it possible.

Recipe - Shabu Beef Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef belly slices
  • 4 cups of water
  • 4 tablespoons sake
  • 4 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 4 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 slices ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 medium onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tomato (sliced)
  • 4 cups Spring mix (any greens you desire)

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix beef slices, sake and salt. In a pan, boil water. When the water boils, toss in the beef. Bring it to a boil then let it simmer on low heat for 1-2 minutes. Strain the beef and set to the side.
  2. For the dressing, mix rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, ginger, and sesame seeds.
  3. Plate your dish and enjoy.
