Turkey Sandwich

Call me lazy, but air fryer is saving me a lot of time making a melted sandwich. I use to enjoy cold sandwich, but when the weather starts to get cold, all I crave for is something warm. You can definitely make this in the oven using broil instead of bake, so you could have that burnt and crispiness on the outside.

Best part of this meal is eating it while the cheese melts.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of sourdough bread
  • 2 slices of cheese (used swiss cheese)
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 3 slices of deli meat (used turkey)
  • 1 toothpick
  • butter spread / spray

Directions

  1. Soak your toothpick in water while putting the sandwich together.
  2. Spread/spray butter on each sourdough slices. Add on the cheese on the non-butter side. Then layer it with turkey slices, avocado, cheese and the last slice of bread, butter side facing up.
  3. Remove toothpick from the water and poke it through the sandwich so it could hold together while it cooks. You do not want flying bread inside the fryer. Set air fryer at 350F for 10 minutes, 5 minutes each side so bread crisp.
